American hardcore band formed in New York City in 1986. Lineup: Civ (Anthony Civarelli, vocals), Walter Schreifels (guitar, later of Quicksand), Arthur Smilios (bass), Luke Abbey (drums), and Alex Brown (guitar/vocals, 1988-1990). Foundational to the "youth crew" hardcore scene alongside Youth of Today and Judge.
Two studio releases in the band's original 1986-1991 run: the Gorilla Biscuits EP (1988) and the LP Start Today (1989). Schreifels and Civ went on to form Quicksand and Civ, respectively. The band has performed periodic reunion shows since 2005 and continues to tour intermittently.
