American jam band formed in New York City in 1988. Lineup: Lo Faber (vocals/guitar), Aaron Maxwell (vocals/guitar), Dan Pifer (bass), Tomo (Tom Osander, drums), and Jon Bevo (keyboards). Style draws on jam-band tradition, folk-rock, and gospel.
Four studio albums between $1.99 Romances (1992) and God Street Wine (1996). The band cultivated a substantial live following in the early-1990s East Coast jam-band scene before dissolving in 1999. Periodic reunions have continued since.
