American singer (1956-1993). Born Jesus Christ Allin in Lancaster, New Hampshire. Among the most controversial figures in punk and hardcore history, known for deliberately provocative and confrontational live performances that frequently involved nudity, self-harm, and audience interaction.

Released over a dozen studio albums between Always Was, Is, and Always Shall Be (1980) and the posthumous Brutality and Bloodshed for All (1993). Subject of the 1993 Todd Phillips documentary Hated: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies. Died of a heroin overdose in June 1993 just hours after a performance — fulfilling his longtime promise to commit suicide on stage.
