American band formed in Philadelphia in 1992 by Garrett Dutton (G. Love, vocals/guitar/harmonica). Long-running lineup also includes Jeffrey "the Houseman" Clemens (drums) and Jim "Jazz" Prescott (bass, 1992-2003). Style combines blues, hip-hop, folk, and rock.
Eleven studio albums starting with the self-titled debut (1994). Best-known releases include Coast to Coast Motel (1995), Yeah, It's That Easy (1997), and The Hustle (2004). Released primarily on OKeh and Brushfire Records. Continues to tour.
