English new wave band formed in Coventry in 1981 by three former Specials members: Terry Hall (vocals), Lynval Golding (guitar/vocals), and Neville Staple (vocals/percussion). Halls's departure from the Specials in 1981 led to the trio's formation.
Two studio albums: Fun Boy Three (1982) and Waiting (1983). Best-known singles include "It Ain't What You Do (It's the Way That You Do It)" (1982, with Bananarama) and "Our Lips Are Sealed" (1983, co-written by Hall with the Go-Go's Jane Wiedlin). The band split in 1983.
