American indie rock supergroup formed in 1992. Original lineup: Kim Gordon (bass/vocals, of Sonic Youth), Julie Cafritz (guitar, of Pussy Galore), and Mark Ibold (bass, of Pavement). Yoshimi P-We (drums, of Boredoms) joined in 1993.
Four studio albums between Call Now (1992) and Inherit (2008). Released primarily on Wiiija and Ecstatic Peace! (Thurston Moore's label). The band has been on extended hiatus since the late 2000s.
