English rock band, formed in 2001 as Elvis Costello's primary backing band after the dissolution of the Attractions. Lineup: Costello (vocals/guitar), Steve Nieve (keyboards), Davey Faragher (bass), and Pete Thomas (drums). Two of the three Imposters (Nieve, Thomas) were previously Attractions; Faragher replaced original Attractions bassist Bruce Thomas.

Six studio albums under the Costello & Imposters banner including When I Was Cruel (2002), The Delivery Man (2004), Momofuku (2008), and Hey Clockface (2020). Costello has used the band for a substantial portion of his post-2001 output, including extensive touring.
