American singer-songwriter (1949-2019). Born Edward Mahoney in Brooklyn, New York; briefly served as a NYPD officer before pursuing music. His blue-collar rock persona and Bay Area-honed sound made him a 1970s-1980s AOR mainstay.

Eleven studio albums between Eddie Money (1977) and Eddie Money Christmas (2018). Commercial peak singles: "Two Tickets to Paradise," "Baby Hold On," "Shakin'," and the 1986 comeback "Take Me Home Tonight" (a duet with Ronnie Spector). Money died of esophageal cancer in 2019, shortly after the AXS TV reality series Real Money aired.
