American hardcore band formed in Syracuse, New York in 1989. Long-running lineup centered on Karl Buechner (vocals) and Dennis Merrick (drums). Foundational to the 1990s straightedge and vegan-hardcore scenes; the band's politically charged lyrics shaped a generation of activist-minded hardcore acts.
Seven studio albums starting with Destroy the Machines (1995). Best-known releases include Gomorrah's Season Ends (1996), Breed the Killers (1998), and the reunion album To the Death (2009). Disbanded in 2001 and reunited in 2007.
