British acid jazz / smooth jazz band formed in London in 1996 by Stuart Wade. Long-running lineup with rotating session musicians. Style fuses smooth jazz, acid jazz, funk, soul, and R&B.
Released over a dozen studio albums starting with From Manhattan to Staten (1996). Best-known releases include Urban Grooves (1998), Cellar Funk (2002), and Spread the Word (2007). Particularly popular on the US smooth-jazz radio circuit through the 2000s.
