Dokken

2 concerts · 4 records

American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1976. Long-running creative tension between vocalist Don Dokken and guitarist George Lynch defined the band's classic-era sound. Lineup also included Jeff Pilson (bass) and Mick Brown (drums).

Commercial peak came with Tooth and Nail (1984), Under Lock and Key (1985), and Back for the Attack (1987). Lynch left in 1988; the band dissolved and reunited several times, with Lynch in and out across various reunions. Twelve studio albums total. Don Dokken has fronted the band almost continuously since the 1990s, with Lynch operating the side project Lynch Mob.
