American country band formed in Nashville in 1989. Long-running lineup: Marty Roe (vocals), Gene Johnson (mandolin/vocals), Jimmy Olander (guitar), Brian Prout (drums), Dan Truman (keyboards), and Dana Williams (bass). All six members have been continuous since formation — exceptionally rare for any band over a 35-plus year span.
Released nine studio albums between Diamond Rio (1991) and I Made It (2016). Commercial peak: the debut album (whose first single "Meet in the Middle" was the first single by a country group to debut at #1) and Diamond Rio's Greatest Hits (1997). Six Vocal Group of the Year wins at the Country Music Association awards.
