American thrash metal band formed in Concord, California in 1982 by cousins Mark Osegueda (vocals), Rob Cavestany (guitar), Gus Pepa (guitar, original), Dennis Pepa (bass), and Andy Galeon (drums) — all of Filipino descent, all related. The original lineup formed when the members were teenagers.
Nine studio albums starting with The Ultra-Violence (1987). Best-known releases include Frolic Through the Park (1988), Act III (1990), and the post-reunion Killing Season (2008) and The Evil Divide (2016). The band disbanded in 1991 after a tour bus crash injured drummer Andy Galeon; reformed in 2001.
