Dave Matthews Band

American jam band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1991. Lineup: Dave Matthews (vocals/guitar), Stefan Lessard (bass), Carter Beauford (drums), Boyd Tinsley (violin, 1991-2018), LeRoi Moore (saxophone, 1991-2008), and Jeff Coffin (saxophone, 2008-present). Among the most commercially successful American touring bands of the late 1990s and 2000s.

Ten studio albums starting with Under the Table and Dreaming (1994). Multi-platinum commercial peak through Crash (1996), Before These Crowded Streets (1998), Everyday (2001), and Busted Stuff (2002). Moore died from a 2008 ATV accident. The band releases live recordings from every concert, a practice maintained since 1997.
