American folk singer-songwriter born April 19, 1967, in Mount Kisco, New York. Associated with the Boston folk scene of the early 1990s alongside Patty Griffin, Jonatha Brooke, and Catie Curtis.
Released ten studio albums starting with The Honesty Room (1993). Best-known releases include Mortal City (1996), End of the Summer (1997), and The Green World (2000). Released primarily on Razor & Tie and Razor & Tie's Burnside imprint. Continues to record and tour.
