American rock band formed in Stockbridge, Georgia in 1992. Long-running lineup centered on brothers Ed Roland (vocals/guitar) and Dean Roland (rhythm guitar). Drummer Will Turpin (bass) has been continuous since formation.
Eleven studio albums starting with Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid (1994). Commercial peak: Collective Soul (1995, featuring "December" and "The World I Know") and Disciplined Breakdown (1997). Continuously active and prolific into the 2020s.
