American glam metal band formed in Philadelphia in 1983. Lineup: Tom Keifer (vocals/guitar), Eric Brittingham (bass), Jeff LaBar (guitar), and Fred Coury (drums). Distinguished from peers by their bluesier, more roots-rock-oriented sound — particularly evident from Long Cold Winter (1988) onward.
Four studio albums between 1986 and 1994: Night Songs, Long Cold Winter, Heartbreak Station, and Still Climbing. Singer Keifer's recurring vocal cord problems limited the band's output after the early 1990s. Last toured in 2014; LaBar died in 2021.
