American swing band formed in Eugene, Oregon in 1989 by Steve Perry (vocals/guitar; not the Journey singer). Lineup also includes Daniel Schmid (bass) and various horns. Style fuses swing, ska, jump blues, jazz, and punk.
Eight studio albums starting with Ferociously Stoned (1990). Commercial breakthrough: Zoot Suit Riot (1997), the title track of which became one of the defining hits of the late-1990s swing revival, selling over 3 million copies on the compilation re-release. Subsequent releases include Soul Caddy (2000), Susquehanna (2008), and Bigger Life (2019).
