American fusion band formed in 1988 by banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck. Lineup: Fleck (banjo), Howard Levy (harmonica/keyboards, 1988-1992, 2009-2011), Victor Wooten (bass), and Roy "Future Man" Wooten (drums/Synthaxe Drumitar). Wooten's brother is also a virtuoso bassist.
Twelve studio albums between Béla Fleck and the Flecktones (1990) and Rocket Science (2011, reuniting the original four-member lineup). Fifteen Grammy Awards across the band's career.
