English-American hard rock supergroup formed in 1973. Founding lineup: Paul Rodgers (vocals, formerly of Free), Mick Ralphs (guitar, formerly of Mott the Hoople), Boz Burrell (bass, formerly of King Crimson), and Simon Kirke (drums, formerly of Free). Considered one of the foundational arena-rock acts of the 1970s.
Six studio albums in the original Rodgers era (1974-1982): Bad Company (1974), Straight Shooter (1975), Run with the Pack (1976), Burnin' Sky (1977), Desolation Angels (1979), and Rough Diamonds (1982). The band continued with Brian Howe (1986-1994) and Robert Hart (1994-1998) as vocalists. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025.
