Original lineup: Speech (Todd Thomas, vocals), Aerle Taree (vocals), Headliner (Tim Barnwell, DJ), Rasa Don (drums), Montsho Eshe (dancer/vocals), and Baba Oje (spiritual elder). Among the foundational acts of alternative hip-hop alongside De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest.

Nine studio albums between 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of... (1992) and Don't Fight Your Demons (2020). Commercial breakthrough: the debut album sold over 5 million copies and produced the Grammy-winning singles "Tennessee" and "People Everyday." Won the 1993 Grammy for Best New Artist — the first hip-hop act to do so.
