American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1982. Long-running lineup: John Bush (vocals, 1982-1990, 1999-present), Joey Vera (bass), Phil Sandoval (guitar), Gonzo Sandoval (drums), and Jeff Duncan (guitar, since 1990). Bush left in 1990 to join Anthrax (until 2005) before rejoining Armored Saint.
Eight studio albums starting with March of the Saint (1984). Best-known releases include Delirious Nomad (1985), Raising Fear (1987), and Symbol of Salvation (1991). Guitarist Dave Prichard died of leukemia in 1990; the band reformed with Duncan replacing him.
