Apollonia

American singer, dancer, and actress born Patricia Kotero on August 2, 1959, in Santa Monica, California. Best known as the female lead of the 1984 Prince film Purple Rain and as the lead singer of the Prince-created girl group Apollonia 6 (the successor to Vanity 6).

Released one studio album with Apollonia 6: Apollonia 6 (1984), featuring "Sex Shooter." Pursued an acting career through the 1980s and early 1990s. Continues to perform occasionally and operates motivational-speaking enterprises.
