American guitarist born April 27, 1951, in The Bronx, New York. Founding lead guitarist of KISS (1973-1982, 1996-2002), where he performed as the Spaceman. Launched a parallel solo career during his first KISS departure.
Released nine solo studio albums starting with the eponymous Ace Frehley (1978) — one of four solo KISS albums released simultaneously. Subsequent solo work includes Frehley's Comet (1987), Anomaly (2009), and Origins Vol. 1 (2016, a covers album). Has performed regularly as a solo artist since departing KISS for the second time in 2002.
